Planning in the moment – what is it? How does it work?
Planning in the moment enables skilled practitioners to capture a child’s interest and enthusiasm immediately, observing, assessing, planning thus making a difference ‘in the moment’.
High levels of involvement and well-being indicate that a child’s brain is ‘switched on’ NOT ‘switched off’. If we capture such moments, immediately, a child will make significantly more progress than waiting until the next week to plan something. Such practice enables practitioners too support children’s learning and development ‘in the moment’ rather than waiting and then the ‘moment’ is lost…
By implementing this approach, we can make an even bigger difference. Our aim is to build strong foundations for all children’s future learning as wellas impacting positively on a child’s will to have a go, persevere and achieve. We want children to enjoy all elements and years of their education.

We are dedicated to working with parents/carers to ensure each child is given the opportunity to succeed and meet their full potential.
